Bryce Dallas Howard is proving the auteur doesn’t fall far from the family tree — and she’s focusing on fathers as the subject of her debut as a documentary director.
Howard, the acclaimed actress and daughter of actor-director Ron Howard, is using her genetic predisposition for quality filmmaking and general decency — to create Dads, billed as a “ unique and humorous look into what fatherhood means in the modern era across the globe.”
The film, presently in production, is being produced by Ron Howard and Brian Glazer, chairmen of Imagine Entertainment, and is being overseen by Justin Wilkes, head of Imagine Documentaries. The film, financed by Dove Men+ Care as part of a campaign to support fatherhood and paternity leave around the world, should be completed by early fall 2019.
Keep your eyes peeled — and be a good dad — because you never know if the cameras are rolling on your great dad adventure. And if you were to have a dad double, who would play you in the movies?
